2. Data Collected When You Visit Our Website

When you visit our website, our hosting provider stores the following data in server log files: IP address (anonymised), date and time of the request, time zone difference, content of the request, HTTP status code, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, browser and operating system. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing a stable service).

3. Contacting Us

If you contact us by email or through the contact form, your information will be stored to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract). We will not share this data without your consent.

4. Google Analytics and Privacy Settings

We use Google Analytics 4 to analyse usage and reach and to improve our website. The Google script is only loaded and Analytics is only initialised after you consent by selecting “Accept all”, or when valid stored consent for Analytics is available. Without a decision, or when “Necessary only” is selected, Google Analytics is not loaded. Once you consent, data is transferred to Google for analysis and Analytics cookies are used.

Your choice is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key webuniverse_consent Only the version of the choice and whether you consented to Analytics are stored. The choice applies to the respective website address (origin), persists across page visits and is updated when changed. You can also delete it through your browser's storage settings. If the choice cannot be stored, Analytics remains disabled for the current page.

You can change your choice and withdraw your Analytics consent at any time through “Privacy settings” in the footer. On withdrawal, Analytics is disabled; the cookies accessible to this integration, _ga and _ga_4RJ0R0D3HY are removed as far as technically possible. If the Google script has already loaded, the page is reloaded so that the script is no longer active afterwards. Data already transmitted is not retrospectively deleted.

5. External Fonts

We load the Manrope and JetBrains Mono fonts externally through Google Fonts. A stylesheet is requested from fonts.googleapis.com ; font files are provided through fonts.gstatic.com . These connections transmit your IP address to Google. This integration operates independently of your Analytics choice. The fonts are integrated through CSS; disabling JavaScript does not reliably prevent these requests.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in Saxony: the Saxon Data Protection Commissioner).

7. Hosting

Our website is hosted by a German hosting provider with its registered office and servers in Germany. A data processing agreement is in place.

8. Updates

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy to ensure it continues to meet current legal requirements.
